It’s really hard to believe that my first semester of college has come to an end. I will say it’s been nothing but a blast! Though COVID-19 has definitely put a damper on my “true college experience,” we’ve still found ways to have fun while being safe. All of this being said, I miss my friends, family, and pets, so heading home should be a nice break. Thank you to everyone that made this term worth coming up here for—I can’t wait to see you all in 2021!

In September of 2020, I was given the wonderful opportunity to spend a few days in the backcountry with some magnificent people I met at UM. We hiked up to Boulder Point, then dropped down into Boulder Lake for a night under the stars. While up there, we witnessed a mama moose on her daily bathe, only about 120 feet from our campsite. This was an incredible addition to the trip. Though it was just an overnighter, it was still a perfect way to get away from the stress of school for a weekend. See photos below.
